Honoring Our Friend, Jim Kopp

Philanthropist, community activist, business leader, VA Kids Trail founding member – and friend to all, Jim Kopp, Owner & Operator of The Family Drive-In Theatre, provided family-friendly entertainment to movie goers throughout the Shenandoah Valley. He worked tirelessly in 2020 to reopen Family Drive-In during the COVID-19 pandemic under the safest of guidelines, providing desperately needed amusement and enjoyment as well as a socially distanced space for churches and civic groups to gather. Jim passed away January 4, 2021 and was honored with a House Resolution by the Virginia House of Delegates for his contributions to his community.

 “Blue Ridge Sprouts” Supported Charities

It is our goal to support these agriculture-based non-profits by developing a Taste of Blue Ridge grant program for local FFA chapters, assist Sustainability matters with staff growth issues, and provide A Farm Less Ordinary with needed tools to start the next growing year!
Thank you for your ticket purchase. Your support is very much appreciated.

“We are excited to be a part of this unique family festival for a number of reasons. As a locally-based community bank, F&M is wholeheartedly invested in the Shenandoah Valley economy, where our employees and customers live, work and play. Community is one of our company’s core values, which has driven corporate philanthropy and decision making since the humble beginnings of Farmers & Merchants Bank in 1908. While many things have changed over the past 113 years, we remain more committed than ever to the success of the agricultural industry, small business ventures, and the nonprofit sector. With that in mind, the Community Brand sponsorship for Root to Table made a great deal of sense to us.” – F&M Bank
