Our Roots
Root to Table (formerly Taste of Blue Ridge) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit strengthening the regional food system in Virginia and West Virginia’s Blue Ridge and Piedmont regions. Through immersive farm-to-table events, chef-led experiences, and community storytelling, we connect farmers, chefs, artisans, and food lovers in support of local sourcing, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable practices.
By fostering relationships across the food chain, we help preserve farmland, celebrate culinary traditions, and build a transparent, resilient food culture rooted in connection and shared purpose.

Root to Table’s Harvest Gala will be a night of culinary excellence and community impact supporting Root to Table’s 2026 initiatives. The evening features an exclusive VIP experience, artisan marketplace, live music, hors d’oeuvres, a seasonal four-course dinner expertly paired with wine and cocktails, and a spirited live auction of culinary experiences. Every ticket and bid helps advance sustainable farming, food education, and greater community access to real food.
