Live Auction Host: Marty Kable

My parents were in the business of farming, carrying on the legacy of our forefathers who came from Germany and settled in Kabletown where they built and operated a grist mill. Decades later, my wife, Carol and I became involved in the dairy business.  We ended this endeavor in 1986. With much more spare time on my hands, I decided to become an auctioneer.  I enrolled in and attended the Missouri Auction School, a two week endeavor.

Upon passing the required licensing and bonding, I was an auctioneer. I am a people person and enjoyed this occupation as it fit well with my crop farming operation.  It was great working with sellers which I represented and the many buyers who attended the auctions.

I retired from these activities three years ago but continue to provide a service to many entities in fund raising endeavors. My entire auctioneering adventure has provided many memories that reflect upon quite often.
